Frederic J. Fiorino
Founding Lawyer & Principal Attorney
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2020, Frederic serves as Legal Counsel for a Canadian Crown Corporation, where he plays a pivotal role in supporting the Corporation’s mission across various operational areas. Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Legal Services, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, Frederic provides comprehensive legal services to all corporate sectors, delivering prompt, insightful guidance on critical issues that shape and sustain the Corporation’s operations.
Frederic’s expertise is instrumental in managing legal risks associated with contract negotiation, drafting, and interpretation, particularly in areas involving sole-source procurement and international prime contracting. He is responsible for advising on contracts that align with the Corporation’s mandate, from supporting government procurement initiatives under international agreements to securing projects essential to advancing national interests. Frederic’s background as Assistant Corporate Secretary, prior to his current role, further enriches his understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance, enhancing the value he brings to the Corporation’s complex operations.
Beyond his in-house responsibilities, Frederic maintains a thriving, fully bilingual private practice. His practice spans corporate law, civil litigation, wills and estates, real estate, and employment and labour law. This dual commitment underscores Frederic’s reputation as a well-rounded, client-focused lawyer, with a distinct ability to balance high-stakes corporate advisement with practical, personalized legal counsel.
